For well over a decade, GTR Africa has provided the annual highlight to domestic industry key-players and returns once again to Cape Town as the regional flagship event on March 14-15.
With extensive opportunities for networking and business development, the event will provide a comprehensive agenda covering all aspects of trade, commodity, export and infrastructure finance, whether it be funding options available to African corporates, key regional hotspots and opportunities for projects or the current risk environment and the various mitigation products and solutions being utilised.

Held in partnership with Invest Africa, this high-level discussion will consider the increasing use of trade as an instrument of trade policy and the potential impact on African markets
African fintech showcase
Powered by ITFA, this section will seek to showcase some of the more interesting and innovative technology companies working in African trade to a panel of experts, comparing and contrasting their market offerings
Finding new solutions to meet Africa’s needs
This breakout-style format will bring together a range of experts to consider the role of external sources in addressing financing shortfalls, after which participants will engage in more detailed private discussions
Classroom-style breakout: ‘The big guns’
This interactive workshop format will divide delegates into a series of working groups for brainstorming and idea sharing on South Africa, Nigeria and Egypt, before bringing everyone back together for conclusions
Question Time: How can African trade be more inclusive?
With financial inclusion continuing to feature at the top of the agenda for banks and policy makers alike, this closing plenary will take on the ‘Question Time’ format, with the impetus for the discussion coming from the audience
